Join us for a three-hour workshop on speaking our truth and making it known in art and word.

Date: Sunday, 7th September

Time: 4 pm to 7 pm

Fee: Sliding scale of 350 / 650 / 950

Ages: 15 - 19 years

Where: Alt Food Co, Panjim

As teenagers, there is much about this world that is dissonant, veiled behind layers of complexity and misinformation - leaving one with a feeling of anger, helplessness - that has no real place to go.

Join us for a workshop this Saturday where we begin with the questions ‘What are some words that you need to say? What are some words that you need to hear?’ and end with plastering our words as art around public spaces in Panjim.

This workshop is an outlet for rage, grief, helplessness. A way to reclaim power over our own inner worlds, our voices.

We’ll be at Alt Food Co. in Panjim this time, and over three hours walk you through a process of uncovering and putting words to some questions, frustrations about the world that affect you. Together, we will conceptualise ways of expressing them in art/ poster form and spend some time walking around Panjim and putting up this art in public spaces.

Do you need to be an artist? Nope.

Do you need to be a writer? Nope.

Just someone with questions for the world, and isn’t that all of us, really?

This workshop is inspired by teenage Megha and Dee’s obsession with Pentagram’s ‘Voice’ and adult Megha and Dee’s deep affinity with Audre Lorde’s ‘Sister Outsider.’
